In today's world, there are so many foods out there with high fatty content, super sugary, full of salt and delicious! These are the foods on the food pyramid we should leave alone and not eat on a regular basis. For the majority of people here in the United States, these treats are a regular item next to the healthier foods on the shelf too!

Working retail is one job many of us are forced into, because our degree of choice is not currently hiring. It's often in these glitches we find ourselves more prone to going out to eat rather than taking our lunch from home at the beginning of the day. While dining out, many are attracted to the quick and easy meal, because we only have thirty minutes for lunch.

Well, this is unfortunately, somewhat of an excuse. It's truly an excuse to get out there and have what you want no matter the cost! Well the sad thing about this choice is that in one single meal, you will have eaten your entire calories for the day!

What Foods are Filling at Lunch?

Some of the best foods you can include in your lunch box are broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. These three alone pack enough vitamins and minerals to help you digest your food properly and give you that extra fiber to keep your tummy fuller for a longer period of time.

It's heard all the time; people really hate to eat those greens. However, if you eat at least 1 cup of some kind of greens every day for a week you will see some major changes in your over all body system, than if you were to eat a whole package of cookies in one sitting.

White meats are especially good for lunch. They are wholesome and help you stay fuller. You can dress up your white meats as well, just don't get crazy. When you opt to have a sandwich in your lunch, buy bread that is low in calories and not two hundred calories a slice.

Some better made breads have emerged over the last few months that do not have preservatives or high fructose corn syrup in them; these are the breads recommended for your daily lunch.

What Foods Should You Pass Up at Dinner-out?

If you are going to an American diner, you might want to opt for a cheeseburger on lettuce leaves instead of on a bun. The bun alone is enough calories for 2 meals. Don't even consider getting those deep fried fries either - they have enough oil there to oil the space shuttle, so opt instead for a side salad.

Many consumers love pickles and they are probably the worst for you. Their sodium level alone will raise your blood pressure to bursting! Instead of eating the entire pickle, try to eat only half.

If you are going to go to a Chinese dinner house, it is highly recommended you stick with a broccoli and chicken dish or broccoli and beef dish. You can also go for an all vegetable dish like Chow Mein or Moo Goo Gai Pan. You want to stay way from the high calorie foods, and paying attention to what you eat will help you tremendously.
